As per title, I'm looking to replace my old Thule ride on rack, can anyone recommend anything that holds the bike securely, allows boot access via pivoting or sliding out of the way, fixes securely to the towbar and is easy to use.

Thanks Diz

Soild well built had no issues withthe 4 bike other than wishing I'd bought the x-bars earler ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I just bought an Atera rack. Yet to use it in anger but it is very nicely put together and went onto the hitch easily and fixed securely. I used to have a Pendle rack and it was sturdy as a rock but putting bikes on it was a bit of a faff unless you only ever carried the same bikes.

Atera strada gets heavy family use by us. Sliding feature necc on the T4

Easy to fit and remove. Folds down OK for garage storage. Nice sliding machanism. Clamps are a bit low-rent, but they work.

I've the got the Atera Rack for heavier MTB's, it tilts but has no slide. After 2+ years and many trips, long and short still impressed with it.

Got a Thule EuroRide 943. Used to own roof mounted racks on the old car.
Roof racks were permanently on, so found them a lot quicker and easier to mount multiple bikes.
The Towbar mounted racks are heavy. Fine for me, but wife wouldnt be able to use it (or would complain). My EuroRide also has a learning process to be able to fit multiple MTBs with different frame designs. You need to spend time to move the arms around the Aframe. The furthest also seems a little weak as its so long, and I do get worried about the stability of 3rd bike (has been on 5 hr journey ok though).
