Help!

I am looking for a big biking challenge for 2010 (the other half says result of a mid life crisis).

I want to aim for an xc type event in europe (further afield prob too expensive) this summer. The obvious is the Trans Alp (am currently on the waiting list for lucky dip on the 7 January) but am keen to find out if there are any in France, Italy, Spain or Portugal.

Searches not turning anything up - does anyone know of anything worth looking at?

thanks

woody

Can recommend this event - interesting part of the world, great riding, good value for money and friendly people. Oh, and the route includes riding through a German WWII underground tunnel complex.

You can always come and partake of, The Welsh Ride Thing at the end of May. 3 days and 2 nights of self supported riding through *Wales. Take a look at the latest Singletrack and email stuart@forestfreeride.co.uk if you fancy it.

*It is a different country so slightly exotic ๐Ÿ˜‰
