I've just bought a 2nd hand on one 853. I've noticed a few bits of surface rust inside the chainstays, nothing serious. But I'm presuming steel frames need a bit more looking after than alu ones? Do I need to spray the internal of the frame with soemthing, do I need to be patching up chips in paintwork etc.....

That's because the chainstays aren't 853, they're regular 4130.

Well, if [url= http://www.rustbulletuk.com/ ]Rust Bullet[/url] are to believed then Rust Bullet is all you need!
Not sure if it would be of any use actually, might be cosmetically challenging but effective?
