Just built up a pink one for my wife.
[img] [/img]

16" Frame with most the bits scavenged from the garage. All I need is a seat clamp as i couldn't find one the right size anywhere.

Ah... Well spotted, it also has about 20 headset spacers!

It's definately more of a metallic purple or deep pink in the flesh, quite striking. It's what she wanted though 🙄

Couple questions guys...

craig1975 - what size is yours?

Do they measure the sizing centre bb to top of seat tube?

Is a 456 SS the same effective top tube length as an 'original' 456?

cheers

mc

First ride on Sunday over at Woburn and I love it. Definitely makes a hero out of a fool, even with 'only' 100mm forks on.

so brown or purple mmmm ive got a brown karate monkey on its way so maybe purple is the way

btw this is my current set up on a 16 fits bob on but im thinking of a 18 this time as it looks a bit small lol fits great and rides great i just thinking i could get same set up on a bigger frame . i think ;-)275mm exposed post and 70mm stem 35mm spacers on the front
[IMG] [/IMG]
and yes the swap is purely a colour thing 😉

btw are the headtubes the same length on the 16 and 18 as i cant find any info on the site

is that a 400mm seatpost then? and a 16 frame? Just trying to work it out for mine - im 5'8 maybe but have really short legs so I just got a 350mm seatpost but worrying it might not be enough. Ill measure my current pedal to saddle height tonight and then check it though sure it will be fine

its a 410 post mate i had a 350 and it was too short should be ok for you tho id guess mine as only about 5mm over full extension but i went for bigger is always better option 😉

The blue in the end - was undecided between blue and brown (im not good enough to justify pink 😉 ) In the end no more browns left so that made my decision easy!

Actually its the first time I have got a new frame have always brought second hand before. Luckily it coincided with the anniversary so the mrs brought it for me (she got some hair straighteners) good deal in my opinion!

Mick - Sorry for the late reply. I'm bob on in the middle of the range for an 18inch by the look of things. 6ft, and 32inch inside leg. Have ridden a 16inch frame and while it was fun for chucking around, it was a bit too wee for anything longer than a couple of hours blast.

Bosh,
No this year you don't have to put your own anti chainsuch dent into the chainstay. There are also ISCG mounts and of course - paint! I've single speeded last years model which I rode for the 1st time tonight. Your front brake hose looks too short BTW!

Mine has the flattened chainstay.... No lumphammer work needed!

That front hose does look short! It's the camera angle as I have longer forks now and still have plenty of slack.

Arrived last week, just built up for the missus, 14" Barry White. She can have some gears when she's a good girl.

The seats low cos she's a absolute beginer, The steerer isn't cut in case she bails and I can use the forks on something else, and I know the front brake hose is waaaaaay to long, but I'll get round to it 🙂

Yup, Doofer, seems to work real well, but only done 2 laps of the close.

Continuing the Barry White theme, here's one I finished tonight.

[IMG] [/IMG]

Bought the frame and forks after the forks failed on my Orange and since they had a 1" steerer, seemed easier to build a new bike using as much as possible from the P7. Now that I see her, I feel she needs either a black or a gold handlebar and a new saddle. And discs...

Minor gripe - impossible to get the back wheel off with the tyre inflated without removing one side of the brakes.

dan

Loving watching the builds together. V happy with On-One. Ordered Saturday PM, arrived just before I set off for work this morning. Just wish I could afford to build it up before Xmas. Ah well. Makes a nice mantlepiece decoration until then.
