I've got a remedy with the standard qr rear axle but the skewer is absolute garbage, i got a new mavic one with my crossmax wheels but its not long enough? With the remedy having the ABP it actually screws into the drive side of the chainstay and you have to slide it out like a proper axle.... If you get my meaning? Anybody know where i can get an aftermarket better working longer than standard skewer?

Tandem takes a 145mm qr, you could check st john cycles

Halo do one for bikes with thick-than-usual dropouts. Might still be too short for your purposes though.
