[Closed] Long Sleeve XC Jerseys?

[#4460115]

I want some long sleeve XC jerseys for riding with over winter. Ideally just thin lycra, not too baggy, preferably with a few pockets in the back to stash stuff. To me, this seems like the obvious autumn/spring riding attire for when it's dry but cold, I.e. you don't need a jacket but a short sleeve XC top isn't quite warm enough. I've been using the Helly Hansen Lifa tops for this and they're OK but no pockets and not exactly stylish.

I can't seem to find them online anywhere. You can either buy DH style jerseys (OK, but usually too baggy and no pockets) or short sleeve lycra XC jerseys. Surely someone must make what I'm after?

Anyone got any links?

EDIT: I don't really want a road bike branded one that costs £70, either. Am I being too fussy?

IMO a short sleeved jersey and arm warmers are much more practical - fewer jerseys needed and you can 'tune' your kit mid ride if necessary.

Decathalon do a ls running top which is perfect and its 7 quid but doesn't have pockets - are they that essential?

summer or winter, i always wear an undershirt. Not an expensive canterbury / Nike / UnderArmour, more like a decathlon or ebay one for less than a tenner. Short sleeve in summer, long sleeve in winter. Shortsleeve top over the top.

Arm warmers are great but for me are best for Inbetween days, when you want them to start the day off but might want short sleeves later.

I got one of these and it's great. i wore it on my ride on Sunday when it was cold and with a base I was nice and toasty. I now have two as I got M to start with but it was a bit tight so ordered a L. I am about to return the M but if you like it and it's your size I'll do you a deal to save me the bother. I only tried it on and haven't worn it. It's the green/white/black and has 3 pockets at the back for snacks/stuff.

TKMaxx have some thin, long sleeved wicking jerseys that are good value at around £8. No pockets though.

endura roubaix jacket, its not a jacket its very much a jersey. Its a little bit fleecy but not a thick roubaix material, its just right for when it gets too cold for short sleeves.

MSP you may be onto something there, that looks like just the thing. It's a bit boring though, some colours would be nice.

I'll try long sleeve under short sleeve for now and see how I get on.

Yep, it is irritating that it has no colour, just for the sake of visibility.

This one from EBC is long-sleeve in a thin material: http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/revolution-eitha-long-sleeve-top

wiggle dhb windslam.

They do the roubaix which is thick and toasty but the normal one is thin and only windproof on the front of the body. I find it a good fit (roadie/xc) and dhb stuff is generally well made - normally about £40.

I bought a couple from Decathlon for much cheapness. Full length zip, one (zipped) pocket.

I see they're only advertising blue - but they're also only £9.99!!!

What are those CCUK jerseys like for fit and quality? They look good value on the face of it

TKmaxx seem to have loads of Hind long sleeve brushed inside black tops at the moment, only £9.99 and perfect for biking, no rear pockets though which is a shame but at that price i can do without them.
