Looking at going over the mynd in the next few weeks , but have never rode there before, whats its like ?? or better still show me your long mynd pics .... do i go geared bouncy bike or rigid single speed ??

There are some good routes on the Mynd. Not really begging for full-suss, but some of the climbs are pretty steep and would be way beyond me on a singlespeed.(But you might be a lot fitter!) Perhaps go bouncy for the first visit. Geared HT would be my choice.
