Is 7 or 8 the 'proper' Minton Batch descent?

Looks like 7 to me.

None of it is double track IIRC.

7.
You might miss it easily if the post has fallen over. There's a gate to the gliding club, if you get there you've gone too far. What route are you doing, do you need any other tips? I've been over there quite a few times, not as many as some on here though.

When you planning on going?
We could show you round if we're not going anywhere else.
It's 7 BTW.
Though 8 then back on the slashed line is a nice addition to a xc ride too.

7. It is not easy to confuse 7 and 8 as 7 is down in the valley (batch) while 8 follows the top of the ridge.

^^^
from the number of people we've seen confused up there it seems to be an easy mistake to make.
And TBF if you're coming in from the road they both look flat with hills in the background until you get into them a bit.

The start is sometimes quite easy to miss on your first time

7 down the valley, 8 is Minton hill which is faster but easier.

My preferred entry is to follow 8 until pretty much the number 8 and then cut back on the bridleway (pretty much just a sheep track) back into Minion Batch (number 7).
