Thinking of riding next weekend down in Shropshire on the Long Mynd for something a bit different. What are conditions usually like at this time of year?

Bump for the lunchtime/friday afternoon crowd. Also interested in the current conditions around Long Mynd, if anyone's been out round there recently.

It's pretty rocky on the main tracks and singletrack drains well, not much mud around although Minton Batch can seem like riding down a stream if it's been raining a lot. Can be Hard work if it's covered in snow

Was snowy up high last sunday, most should have gone by now.I'll find out tomorrow morning.
Mud not normally a problem (apart from Minton Batch).

Thanks both. I've only ridden there once (last May), and remember that Minton Batch was a bit of a bogfest then, certainly at the top coming down from the gliding club

Last time we rode Minton they'd done a bit of work on the top bit.

Including this rather odd bit of wood.
