Changing to shimano gearing on my kona process as I didn't like the sram and it broke.
Most people say go medium cage mech, running a 10-42t cassette and 32t up front. A mate has an xt mech going cheap but it's long cage. Will it actually matter?

Sweet I reckon I will go for it, I'm guessing more of the chain will be taken up or something?! It's half the price of the medium cage from my mate so that's a winner!
