[#9518194]

I've decided to have a crack at servieing the VPP pivits on my SC bronson to try and get rid of an anoying ticking/clicking sound. I need to buy loctight 242 but the prices seem to be all over this place.

This place is far cheaper then anywhere else i've seen but seems to not be "branded". is this OK to buy or should i stick to the branded stuff?

Cheers!

That website is based in Hong Kong (just in case you hadn't noticed).

Loctite 243 seems to be more readily available over here and has similar properties but is a bit more oil resistant.

Halfords sell Loctite 248 (like 242/243 in a stick) for £7. I find it much more convenient to use than the liquid. (YMMV)

For me, in practice it iseems the same as 242. It's not caused me any issues in about 18 months.
