[#4003187]

I have set of 454 Pikes Air U-Turn and the other week the lock out stopped locking out the forks.

So I stripped, cleaned placed back together ensuring the exact amount adn weight of oil is the there and it still didn't work.

I order a Motion control service kit from TFTuned and the replaced seals etc replaced the oil again and still it's not working.

Any ideas please?

Its broken ๐Ÿ˜›

Have you inverted the forks and got the oil everywhere and checked then?
Is the compression dial actually turning the compression thing - it may be free spinning?

Great. ๐Ÿ™„

Yes tried them upside down and also striped the moco. The lockout dial is turning the valve bit but when locked out the hole the valve covers has a small open gap left about 2mm.

Did mine last week never checked this tbh so cannot help re hole size
I assume it is call Loco time and ask for some professional advice or get someone more informed than me

EDIT: Is it the threshold adjust - when i turnt hat all the way to negative and lock out it has zero affect an they dont lock out or even firm up?

When you say the plate that covers the hole has a gap is that height wise/lifted away from main body or that it isn't rotating enough to cover the port in the bottom of the moco?

Junkyard - tried the gate wide open, closed and middle to no effect.

LoCo - The plate isn't rotating enough. Normal?

Sounds like the plate has moved on the fitting inside the moco, it is fixable, probably depending on the state of the internal part.
It might be worth sending to me to have a quick look. (just the damper)
The plate should completely cover the orifice in the bottom of the moco when locked out.

OK figured it should but wasn't sure.

Is it anything a home mech can do with a little guidance?

binners it depends on the state of internals, it maybe possible to strip and rotate the plate depending on the state of the part the plate boss mounts into. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Yes, but would be easier to post to me to assess and fix if possible, I'll only charge you postage on it too ๐Ÿ˜€

Cool. One thing is it safe/OK to ride on like that as I wouldn't mind to get a ride in at the weekend then send it?

Did you remove the metal disc at the bottom of the Moco? If so, did you replace it in exactly the same orientation?
