Other than the Specialized lock ons, are there any more out there that are both of reasonable quality and only have an inner locking collar?

I've got the Atherton ones too, very nice grips, thin and grippy. Have had mine twist around on me a couple of times though.

Scott make some as well.

I recently went back to normal grips, faff to get on, but they've not budged in 3 wet rides now, just wish my 680mm bars were slightly wider though, ~720mm seems a good comprimise between risers that leave you perched on the ends and my nuke proofs which are just a little too wide for XC!

Bontrager do a good range, quite reasonable price as well compared to others.

My DMR ones only have the inner lockon, they are a bit fatter and after a long ride with them this weekend I didn't suffer any arm pump as I used to with my old Sunline (fat) grips.

They also come with a bar end plug that I used to butt the grip up against and it grips the non lockon end quite well.

They were cheap as well, something like £12 rings a bell.

I have the new Bonty ones and they are great, better in fact than my last set of ODI's...

I've got Bontragers on two bikes - I like them a lot. No-nonsense grips, and I like the fact that the bar ends are blocked off without having to use a plug.

One thing about one-ended lock-ons - the outside end can move ever so slightly, as it's not fastened. This is either something you won't even notice, or something that will bug the hell out of you - it feels a little like the front end has something loose (headset, shifting pads, loose wheel bearings).

You can fix this a couple of ways - I put a little bit of silicone bathroom sealant at the end of the grip and leave overnight. No problems so far.

Cube ones are nice, if short lived.

I like the look of the Pro XCR ones esp the Black/silver ones.

Don't they do some free rider range ones too? The Atherton ones are gopping

I run the specialized ones with a 15mm overlap on the end to make the bars wider, never moved, not felt the loose front end feel mentioned.

Bargain at £12, dont get the white ones......I have, mucky after 1 ride.

Black / Grey / Natural look good

Kind of a ghetto way of getting more width 😳

Why do you want them not to have the end ring? I have sunline grips that have in incorporated end cap. Nice and long and thin.
