[Closed] Lock-on grips on carbon bars - safe?

I assume carbon bars will take lock-on grips won't they? They tighten with friction, rather than the screw, screwing into the bar itself, so there's no scratching the surface of the carbon going on...

Yes, so long as you don't use the very basic type that does indeed screw straight into the bar ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Yep - as above, some like Sunlines tighten a grub screw onto the bar, but the ODI-style ones are fine

Easton have just produced some designed specifically to be safe with Carbon bars as some people accidently damage carbon bars by over tightening them. The Easton grips have a layer of plastic between the bar and the metal ring
