Hi,

Taking my own bike so thinking of getting a new lock that is light enough to carry around in my backpack when not in use - will be doing mainly XC stuff.

Was thinking of one of those cable things and a padlock - like this

Any suggestions?

They're OK, but can be cut with some wire-snips pretty easily.

On-One used to do a small D lock that looked handy - you might find something similar somewhere.

That and some cable extensions through the wheels should deter the opportunist.
