Bit of Welsh wisdom required please!

We're off around Llandegla on Friday and I've heard / seen tell of a natural ride around there called World's End which heads over Llangollen way. However, looking on the map there doesn't seem to be much by the way of bridleways out there.

Soo, is it super cheeky and best avoided? Or could a small group of us get away with it on a Friday? And if so, any route suggestions to maximise fun and minimise kerfuffle?

I rode this last year. Think it's what you're looking for. It was a damn good day out.

I'd suggest doing it on a dry day. It can be a bit boggy in places and i'd imagine some of the descents would be more like rivers if it's rained a lot!

Cheekier than a pair of romanian twins looking at the map, though having ridden it many many time I wouldn't have known, I've never had any issues - having said that I don't think I've been out that way for over ten years so things may have changed

The route that we used to do went along the Offa's Dyke Path up to the aerials at Cyrn-y-brain and looped back to cross the road, then headed out past World's End and more or less along the county border along the top of Eglwyseg Mountain (look for the lines of WWII bomb holes for a nice place to go playing) and Criegieau Eglwyseg and down to Trevor at Trevor Rocks.

Might also have ridden the path below the escarpment once, seem to recall that being fabulous too.

Ah that looks ace @r8jimbob88, I'll get the OS maps out tonight and figure it out. I'm certainly not averse to a bit of cheeky where it's not gonna be too busy.

Hopefully it should be reasonably dry this weekend, but we'll see...

I dont remember there being anything cheeky. The trails were very clear and defined and downright fun! Some cracking views too. Weather forecast looks good this week so should be fine by weekend

Depends where you ride. Bits of it are SSSI so try and avoid cheeky, stick to bridleways unless you know where your going and you won't come across anyone else. Theres a stw route somewhere and plenty of gpx files.

Does the route posted above look reasonably ok? I've not had a chance to look at it on an OS yet.

Deffo very cheeky, but you should be alright on a weekday, especially if it's raining!

If you start up at the masts above 'degla, you can get a nice long, entirely downhill run into Llangollen.

Keep an eye out for walkers, stop/give way, be polite and i'll all be good. Oh, and try not to fall off on the steep side........
