Never been there, setting off from Bristol early doors tomorrow - aiming to get there at 11 ish. Thinking maybe ride the ride loop then have a late lunch - what to do after that? Sounds like red then has some black options off it - do we rode the red again but take a black?

Personally I like flow trails with jumps and berms if that makes any difference.....

I wouldn't necessarily do the loop again just to ride the reds, but if you have the time it would be worth it

Other option would be to just session the free ride area after lunch

Do the Llandegla Bruise: Black n Blue and red and green.

When you first go around, I'd recommend doing the first black option at the split instead of the red - last time I went, there was a tree at face height on the red option, so I had to dismount. The red option is pretty much a straight descent, the black is rollable jumps.

I am literally the world's worst mountain biker (I usually ride blue trails!), but even I find most of Llandegla doable - the main risk is riding too fast/misjudging jumps.

Speaking of which, the blue is also fun (though YMMV!). There's a pump track and freeride section, plus a skills section on the start of the climb.

I'd do the full black loop first out (after Snowdon view) and repeat after lunch, or cut it a little shorter and take the red route after Snowdon view - but repeat the black "B line" boardwalk once trails merge. The blue is attractibe and flowy - and I'll cover it a couple of times each month - but I think if your making an effort to get there Id.be tempted to stick with the red and black routes - as others have said all rollabel if required.

We’re going to Antur Stiniog the following day, then Machynlleth the day after that so it’s not just for Llandegla. So we should get a mix of trails to ride across 3 days.

When I looked at what I thought was the map I didn’t see a black loop - I’ll revisit it and see what I can see.
