We risked the fact that it might closed and got to Llandegla at 9.00 this morning.
Red and black runs closed and quite understanably and a few notces posted at the beginning of the trail letting you know it was all at your own risk. 4" of snow up the way up made some sections push only and on the way back down you were faced with fast, wet but snow free descents with occasional scary patches of icy snow appearing very suddenly 😯
Still good fun though. lack of crowds made ordering hot choc and bacon butty much easier!
Planning a trip with my brother and my new Spesh at the end of the month, any chance of someone getting the hair dryers out in the mean time?!! It was quite dry on my last (and first ever) trip, and it was challenging enough, sudden patches of ice would not be what the doctor ordered!
Good effort for not just going home, show us wossies how it should be done!
