Forecast is for about 8 degs around here (Chester) this weekend. Although the web site says it's still closed, anybody have inside info on whether Llandegla's open this weekend?
llandegla conditions are nearly always the complete opposite of chester! It can be sunny and warm when i live my house yet snowing and icy on the trails round llandegla (its on the north facing side of a valley) and its in wales.... ๐
i few of the chester riders went over to the clywds on wednesday night and the amount of snow still on the slopes was amazing - a planned 16km ride turned into a 5km long snowball fight/hike a bike session...
I rang this morning and they said they are taking the decision of wether to open or not at Noon. I'm going to ring back after 12. www.oneplanetadventure.co.uk seems to be a better place for info than the Llandegla website.
Car park is open. They will decide wether or not the trails are open in the morning. Ring before you go.

Why would they close the trails? I mean I know it could be snowy and icy but thats no reason to close the trails surely?
I remember driving through the village before the trail, blue skies and as I approached the climb over and long straight it went all grey and the temp gauge in the car dropped 3degrees!
Coffeeking.1-Access for emergency vehicles.2-Liability.3-Catering to the lowest denominator.Given that someone is suing for falling over a pothole in the car park (I sh#t you not) discretion is always the best part of valor (when your livelyhood is at stake).
can,t belive some one is suing for tripping in the car park.bet it,s some middle class head worker..
just been to llandegla today 27/11/2010 with my m8 it had 2 inches of snow & was -5!!! so good, car-park only opened at 11am but trails are just sum-thing special in the snow!
Ps:The bacon buttes were as good as ever! love llandegla!:-)
