Please help, I am the proud owner of a 2002 litespeed pisgah frame. However I have not ridden for 4+ years following a motorcycle accident.
Now I got back on the litespeed and rode cannock. The trails were great however my back can't take it. I need a full sus. Therefore the litespeed needs to be sold to fund a new frame or even a full bike.
How much can I expect for my frame? This will allow me to plan a replacement.
May I also add I was a member of this forum 9 years ago and it is nice to see old names. I used to post under bike_tart if any one remembers me.

Maybe give it a bit more time? The rush to full suss might do the trick, but it's still not a magic carpet...
I have a Lookoutmoutain was trying to sell it last year best i got offered for the whole bike was £650 and its a 2004 frame next model up from yours.I think best you would get for it £250/£300 and thats on the high side.Best of luck selling it.I kept mine makes a great cross over bike bit of off-road and country lanes. They were race bikes not trail bikes by the geometry of them.Full suss are great but you push them very hard too, doing jumps etc so is not great for your back either.
Hi, i have a pisgah bought 06ish and more recently bought an anthem for longer distance rides, one of the reasons being, i had lower back problems.
I found the full sus put off the onset of pain, but did not on its own remove it - a combination of; general and core fitness, treatment, stretching and obsesive attention to detail in bike set up all helped as much. So my advice would be - if you like it and want an XC type bike, dont give up on it until you have tried all the other points and get the set up right.
As i have a pisgah i pay attention to the price when they sell, and over the last couple of years the later (disc mount as part of frame, not that bolt on detail etc)versions have sold for slightly more than dobies estimate - but i came to the same conclusion and have kept mine for winter rides / commuting etc.
Litespeed Occoee owner here. What seat post do you use? Might be worth experimenting with. I use the Litespeed Ti one. Have you gone too light with the build?
I've used mine regularly on 35 mile xc rides and have never felt beaten up. In fact it was far more comfy than the Soul I had.
The frames are beautifully crafted and I will never part with mine!
Regret parting with mine! If you do sell hit me up 😀
Thanks for the replies folks. The price isn't as bad as I thought. However it is a classic. I think it could be kept as wall art rather than selling when really thinking about it. Currently have it build up with king wheels mix of XT and XTR group. I recenly put a hollow tech 2 chainset on it and all I can say is WOW they are stiff.
Some one mentioned what seat post I am running. Do you remember the USE Alien? I've got the ally version. Thought about a carbon jobby for some flex which might help.
My specific back problem is a fractured coccyx (+ compressed vertibrae), it's not really a core issue and not something I am aware any training could help correct.
I think I'll keep the litespeed cos I regret selling most bikes I have owned.
Try a carbon seatpost. Also, stand up when the going gets rough!
Ive had coccyx issues and tried a ladies wtb rocket seat. The extra width helped loads has loads of padding too. Not great for long distance though. up to 10 miles maybe?
