Took my eldest to our local trails and when we got back to the car park he started to show me a few of his "skills". He is only 12 and just starting to get into the sport and wanting to come and ride with me a little more. I suppose I shouldnt encourage him by taking the photos but he really was in control of what he was doing and I must admit I was quite impressed with his bike control so please dont flame me.

Why would anyone flame you ? I think you're doing the right thing to encourage him. Good on both of you 8)

Fantastic!

Well done to him, hopefully he'll stick with it and develop. My son is nearly ten and a bit timid still but hopefully he'll get into it. I'm not pushing him at all as I don't want to put him off.

Brilliant cant see why you would get flamed. I taught my 6 year old drop off's, he loves riding his bike, would be wrong not too encourage him.

Once they get to 14 or so they don't want to be seen with their dad. Then they find birds, chatrooms & games. You spend the next few years trying to get them out again. However, mine has seen the light, and is back out again

I'll flame you - its bloody ridiculous - you must not encourage children to develop there bike skills like this - its is extremely embarrassing for the rest of us who aren't as good!
