I quite like the feel of my Nobby Nics, in 27.5 x 2.25 size, on my Anthem, however they will need replacing in a few months and I'd quite like something that doesn't sweat sealant carrier fluid all over my garage. So, what feels similar, same width, and is sealant tight ?

All the Bontragers I've owned have had non leaky walls.
I'd say Specialized are worse than Nics. My Nics have been fine so far.

My xr4s don't sweat either.....but were a ba$tard to get on the rim. God help me if I ever have to get them off trailside. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
And my nics sweat too. The rear pacestar more so than the front trailstar version.

Maxxis Forekaster is very Nobby Nicky. I don't mean that as a compliment, I didn't realise Maxxis had advanced enough technology to make such an ordinary tyre and sell it for so much but hey, if you like Nics you might like the Maxxis.

Which nobby nic do you have? Old or new style? What side wall?

Evo TL Easy, Pacestar, bought six months ago on CRC

The rear pacestar sweats a lot more than the front trailstar.

Garage is integral in new house and is bone dry, with flooring.

Every tyre will sweat in damp garage conditions.

I like mine Iain (Team version). If you don't get on with them I'm sure I could find them a happy home.

Mine are 2.35 Expert versions. Might be a little tight on rear...

*Makes note to blame it on leaky sidewalls next time he gets caught with jizz all over the garage floor*

yeah, I do like them so will maybe try and seek out a newish one, always difficult with the likes of CRC to work out what is current..

Thanks Colin - same model as mine, or at least my front, and mine is bit damper than that one. The rear, which is a Pacestar however.....

My goodness, man! Mixing tyre brands? Have you no shame?

(I agree about Spesh Grid tyres being pretty good for not leaking sealant, though)

My OCD may prevent me putting Specialized tyres on a Giant Anthem. I do it on my Soul, but that's different...somehow... ๐Ÿ™‚
