Im struggling to find any lightweight knee protection in stock mainly for rocky trails and to protect against road rash (or rock rash)

I can't find the G-form in stock in medium (i'm 5ft 8 and 63KG) so how about something like this:

A bit more pricey but these are what I use, they come up small so I'd suggest a medium for you. Very light, very comfy.

Troy Lee KG 5400 / 5450 seem to get good reviews and seem like just the thing you're after. There's always going to be a tradeoff between lightness and protection, so it depends whether you want something that will be comfortable on long rides or something that will offer serious protection.

I have RaceFace Charge ones - very light, minimalist, no hard padding so really only abrasion resistant rather than impact

I have the Dianese trail skins, they're good and worth considering. Only slight criticisms would be they are very well ventilated but that leaves nooks and crannies for muck to get in. Also, sizing might be a bit odd. It's almost like I need an M for volume around the knee but a large for the top closure. That said, they're good and I'd buy again.

+1 Troy Lee

Best lightweight pads I've used for comfort, fit, quality and protection. As said the lighter you go the more you will trade protection but these are perfect for trail centre, XC, pootling etc.

I ordered some Trailskins from CRC and the honeycomb retracted into the pad, emailed them and they told me to dispose of them and sent some more out, same issue again so I sent them back for a refund. Must of been a faulty batch but couldn't be arsed trying another set.
