Looking to get a new seatpost for the gravel bike. Ideally I'd like a carbon one for comfort as well as weight but the options are limited. Looking at the brand x carbon from crc, which seems a good deal but not many reviews. It's not particularly light, around 250 g but that's not a deal breaker as long as it's comfy. Any other options for under 40 quid, alu or carbon, no more than 250 grammes.
Lots of new posts from brands I've never heard of on ebay but I don't fancy shards of carbon penetrating my ringer.. Likewise second hand from random ebay sellers doesn't fill me or my ass with confidence either.
Lightweight, cheap, not going to impale me, pick 2.
What's the thoughts on carbon exotic and hylix posts. The latter are only 180 grammes and cost 40 quid.. Which raises alarm bells
Get a used one off eBay. I got a FSA SLK UDC one for £17 and it's immaculate.
USE Exposure are worth a try as they were selling Carbon Sumos for £30 odd the other week in a retro stock clear out. I've got one of them on my HT and it's ace.
Got one of these on my gravel bike-all good. Also have one on my good road bike(been on 3 bikes over 3 years) very light and no issues.
Look what I found on AliExpress

I’ve got a hylix on the road bike. Haven’t been skewered yet
