Hello all,

Anyone got any experience with the lightweight-ish eRoady bikes like Scott Solace/Addict, Specialised Creo SL or the Orbea Gain?? Mostly wondering what sort of range/elevation you can get out of them in the eco modes and what they're like to pedal above the assist level/once the battery runs out.

Luck enough to be heading back to Mallorca in May but will be based on the South East side of the island so away from the mountains, thinking of hiring an e-bike like one of the above to be able to get to some of the better riding (and back) without absolutely dying and blast around the local stuff quickly.

Cheers.

I’ve got a carbon Creo, it’s awesome. 100 miles range in Eco,  even more if you turn the motor off on the flat. Which as obvious as it sounds is hardly noticeable at around 12-15mph but makes a huge difference to the range.

I’ve been on a couple of trips to the Alps with a folks on lightweight Specialised e-road bikes and others that have hired e-bikes out there. On the really big passes the batteries last one or maybe two climbs. Mallorca the climbs are smaller and nicely graded not to be so steep. I think you could get up every climb in Mallorca and do long distances.

Also have a Creo SL Expert, great bike. I’m in fairly hilly west of Scotland and find I get 60 or so miles typically out of battery, or 100 with extender. I’m a reasonably fit rider and also use regular bikes.

Sounds pretty reasonable overall, I think I'll probably aim for 1 day 100m so with the extender that sounds doable. Now to book something! Cheers all.
