[#2525724]

.....Saw them mentioned the other day, and I was going to buy one, but I can't get the registration (And so the ordering process) to work on their website. Is it me being thick or what???? I have emailed them.

Also, anyone care to comment on the lights themselves?

Cheers!
🙂

Just out of interest which one are you thinking of ordering?

I'm not sure whether to go with the:

DX Bastid circa 700 lumens £50
L&G Fireball 1100 lumens £80
L&G Foride 1400 lumens £92
Troutie DIY 1800 lumens £130 (and probably more reliable!)

If anything it appears pointless going for the Fireball if for an extra £12 you get a proper handle bar mount and more lumens.

Google for a few reviews on mtbr.

Does that include a battery? If not it's £200-ish

I was gonna get the Foride though.....

Troutie isnt including batteries as far as I am aware, although I think Smudge does some.

I had looked at this battery

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portable-12V-li-ion-Rechargeable-Battery-Pack-9800mAh-/120598545759?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item1c143bc55f

or this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portable-12V-Li-ion-Rechargeable-Battery-Pack-4800mAh-/170535032613?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b4ae1725

both come with chargers.

If you look at Trouties DIY light thread I asked about them and some one does use one, however they might be a bit bulky.

I have emailed the seller to get details on weight and size but havent had a response yet.

Sorry was thinking out loud with Trouts light. The £130 is the kind of price I think I could get it running for. Maybe £115 if I use the latter battery.

£85 or £95 dependant on the battery you have to work with it, for the light then smudge was doing a battery on special for £63

looks a good kit, would be even nicer if the builder sends the case off for anodising.

"would be even nicer if the builder sends the case off for anodising."

When I did my last DIY light out of a Heinz baby food tin I sprayed it with some BBQ spray paint which gave it a rather nice matt black finish, after curing it in the oven for a bit 🙂 . If I do Trouts light I think I would do the same.

Probably too late now (and no bad thing as supporting Trout effort's is worthwhile)

But did you try emailing them?
I believe from the MTBR thread, I linked to on the other thread, their main email is sales@lightandgo.com but apparently using this email addy has more success: lightandgo@gmail.com

Latest update on the MTBR thread is that delivery took 42 days to the US, so don't expect anything to turn up quick
On a par with DX,.. now where the frick is are my spare mount's I order from DX? 😳

I bought the fireball from spokeshirts and i have to say it's amazing. Much, much brighter than my P7 airbike.

well recommended

My Light&Go Fireball arrived in 9 days from Korea using the free shipping option. I've had UK orders take longer than that 🙄
