Hi All,
I have no knowledge of BMX parts or expected part weights. However, I am considering building some light 20" wheels for a kids bike.
Is it a case that most BMX rims are as heavy as hell to with stand dropping off multi story car parks or is there a selection of XC MTB weight rims for racing?
If so, can someone point me in a direction please?

20" BMX racing rims are sub 400g, they come in a variety of sizes to suit different tyre widths. Try the source BMX shop, or Alans, or custom riders.
