Hi All,
I have just bought one of these from CRC and it is looking great on my Canyon though I have yet to test it on bumpy ground.
However, it came with a bit of rubber attached to the back of the packaging - in a small plastic bag - that I have no idea what to do with. It is like a short piece of rubber tube about the same diameter as a road bike inner tube that would stand just over 1 cm tall if you stood it up. It has a constant internal diameter but externally it has a ridge that then tapers towards the top to a sharp edge. It is clearly meant to come with it as it is attached to the backing card but I have no idea what it is.
Any ideas what it is for?

Is it for a co2 canister?
Whattyre, it blooming well is too!! I have just tried it on a canister and it fits snuggly on the top and the ridge is obviously to stop it slipping through the supplied strap.
Was that a guess or did you know?
