What frame is that Tim?

It's a 9:ZERO:7 Whiteout Carbon. I've got a set of 29+ wheels for it too, but can't be arsed fitting the tyres today.

Picked this up from a forum member last weekend;

[img] [/img]

Most of the running gear has been upgraded from the stock On-One stuff and all I have left to do is start cutting holes in the rims!

Personally I love the orange but I think that puts me in a minority, Lol.

Anyone know when the Canyon Dude is going to be available? £1800ish delivered for a carbon frame and fork, nice wheels and decent spec.

Currently scheduled for June 2015 I believe.

Just checked - Smalls in April, Medium/Large in June (that's the top-end model). May (Sml) and June (Med/Lge) for the cheapest one

Thanks Scotroutes. Not going to be able to put off this itch 'till then. Will have a look at the Specialized Fatboy early in the new year (hopefully), although LBS (Ghyllside Cycles) have a very nice new Charge Cooker Maxi in black for £850 which seems very good VFM.

rear is a standard 29er rear mudhugger hairdyered to fit, front is a prototype we are testing atm works really well, compare with & without here
[img] [/img]
needs a forward extension to stop "fling back" and we have a mod to try to solve that. it's rock steady off road too

After a big, slidey off today, I'll be fitting Nates before I venture out on mine again.

That's an attractive bike. I especially like the way it says 'rude' on the fork.

Mostly the £, I got a 20% off code. The fatty does ride trails well though with non of the floppy steering the Kona & Genesis had. Whether that means it'll be compromised in snow remains to be seen

Roboleg, gorgeous snow and #enduro colourwayz notwithstanding, you've got to have balls to use that song in a bike video and not include at least one backflip

Ah - that's Glenn. I remember when he turned up for a fatbike meeting in the Lakes. We were all agog at the Sandman Ti fatbike on the back of his car until he stepped out.... His "good" leg is an absolute work of art, and uses an RP23 knee 😀

Pretty sure they're 90's (OE fit Fat Boy)

Haven't seen a Nate, but are bigger than the Ground Control that came off

By all accounts GC's come up bigger than Nates, so Bud must be a fair bit bigger than Nate

The Canyon looks ace but the cranks are truly awful. Or more specifically, the bottom brackets are. Tiny bearings that even when new meant that there was sufficient movement in the crank arms to touch the chain stay. E13 - nice to look at but the execution is awful............ 🙁

Got a call from the LBS saying they could get me a Fatboy in size large. Thought about it for 5 minutes and picked it up two days later. Only been out for one short ride so far but it was gun inducing!
