Feel totally daunted posting after the mega video's from Jedi and Doug! But here goes. This was filmed right out the front door of my previous house. Nothing radical, just a quick blast on the most local of trails.

I did have Jane's Addiction Classic Girl playing but YouTube rejected it 🙁 Any hints on how to get a good music track?

Hey Andy! For getting a good track I'd recommend using Vimeo, there never seems to be any issue there. It's a far nicer interface too.

Nice vid there, will look far better with some tunes too.

Updated here with tunes. I don't get the music industry, here we are promoting their music for free, and they get all funny about it. Why don't they just insist on having a link to pay and download rather than stopping usage?

Gothandy, I really like how you've got that pan/zooming thing going on. Never thought of that. Assuming you're doing it in post like I think you're doing... 😉

5thElefant I'm using Windows Live Movie Maker (free and seems to work well) and that lets you do the pans and zooms, I think you end up losing some of the definition so need to try and film in full HD but if you filming billy-no-mates style then it's well handy.

The problem I find is just how blooming long it takes, that film is literally a 200 yard section outside the house. It took a good couple of hours to film that (up and down, up and down). With more extreme locations and skills it must be a proper time consuming exercise!

Not mine, but a young lad's I teach. A couple of years old now so not so young now - 14 at the time I think. He won a pinkbike competition with it and hopes to go on to a film related degree.
