ok, maybe someone can help out and save me a load of searching web trawling.

fancy a long weekend in Les Gets, but budget is tight, whats the cheapest way to get there fly or drive? will be 4+ of us and bikes, and it would be 2 cars if driving.

Stayed at Le boomerang in the past and though it was good any other catered options to consider?

Reccomendations please.

The Jollygood / Bar Le Sherpa

Stayed here twice, mate just did a season and stayed there, other matyes has been going back every year for last 10 years

Basic sleeping accomodation, but excellent food and the bar gets really busy with locals and brits alike - the cheapest place you will find and highly recommended

BTW its in Morzine not Les Gets - therefore always downhill at the end of the day

If you're going to take two cars between four of you, then flying will definitely be cheaper. As I remember, the tolls are about £60 each way and fuel is about £100 per leg if you're travelling from roughly south of London. Your crossing will be around £80? I could be way out on that. Per car it would be around £300-£400, certainly a lot more than flying but then you have the convenience of having everything you need.
Maybe consider hiring something like a VW transporter and splitting that cost four ways?

+1 for hiring, we hired a Toyota Hi Lux, 4 DH bikes, kit and people only just fitted though! If you hire book as early as you can. Some places wont let you take the vehicle abroad, breakdown assistance may also be a condition of hire.
