Has anyone been in Les Gets during the Crankworkx weekend but been there to ride rather than watch the show?
Are the trails still mostly open? busy?
What about the village, parking, roads etc?

Everything is open. The events only take up one section at a time and usually on an evening apart from the DH race. Didn't effect anything other than parking when I was there so I left the van in Morzine.
thanks Shark. Thats exactly what I was hoping to hear. Heading over from Samoens just for a day so although I want to check it out i don't want it to get in the way of any riding.
We were in Morzine last year when it was on, didn't really noticed anything, till we walked in to our hotel and steve pete and greg minnaar were sitting at the bar.
Up on the hills you wouldn't even know it was on, until you dropped down into town, or found yourself sitting on a chairlift with finn Illes. nice kid
