I've been a million times to the Alps in the summer but always in a group of mates.
This year my beloved (lady not bike) and I are going as a couple. We don't want a hotel because we want to cook and look after ourselves.
Les Gets or Morzine are our destination of choice but willing to be persuaded otherwise if you've had good experiences as a couple elsewhere.
Will, of course, need a secure lock-up for the bikes too.
Any recommendations please?!

Self catering is going to be in simple apartments rather than a chalet I think. Just ask the tourist office.
