Was just reading the thread on single pivots and brake-jack, etc.
Was wondering if anyone knew of any science around how much 'travel' a hard tail rider's legs give a rear wheel...
Or just any empyrical evidence from you lot based on trails you regularly ride on ht and fs?
I have about 20cms of leg-travel and an additional 5cm of arse-travel. Unless I'm feeling tense, then the arse packs down and the legs lock out.
All relative to saddle height.
What length are your cranks?
Just remove the saddle and seat post. Lot's of travel then.

No, it will just be a helluva lot less comfortable
About 12" - but on a full-sus you have that in addition to the rear suspension.
