Just moved back to the UK from the US, anyone local to Leamington/Warwick happy to show the local trails off? Raced a fair bit and happy to ride fast or just piss around in the woods. Also, anyone nightriding yet?
Thanks

Hi there. I live in warwick - there's not a lot of exciting stuff to ride, but if you go here https://explore.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/account/show_profile/1333 you can see the three routes I use for training - 13, 19 and 25 miles. Nothing wild, but gets you out of the house, the countryside is pleasant, and the short and long routes have enough hills to keep you fit. The medium route is for when we're feeling lazy, or it's hammering down with rain.

Of all the joints, in all the World you had to pick this one. The greatest thing is that whenever you go away the riding is guaranteed to be better......

I'm outside Stratford and there are a few bits which break up the monotony of the road sections. Wales it aint.

Leamington is great! I live in Whitnash, and I am a member of Godiva Trail Riders, a fantastic club, really relaxed, social or banter orientated.

I can show you around some local rides if you like, only moved here myself 4 months ago, but know a couple of areas. No beautiful downhill singletrack or challenging rides, but quite a few good routes, espesh wed night rides with GTR!

Didn't meet any riders in Leamington whilst I was living there, despite having 2 bike shops!

Moved to Coventry, met the Godiva Trail Riders, then went out most weeks with them until I moved away... Good bunch of guys, though watch out for that pjbarton, he likes wierd shaped handlebars on his bikes you know! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks all, just the kind of starter info I was looking for. Joined the GTR forum and hope to see some of you out there.

I have been out with the Godiva Trailriders a couple of times recently. Nice bunch with a relaxed, varied bunch of riders. Some half decent trails nearby. Not much in the way of downhilling though.
