Hey folks, thinking of tackling this soon,ive read about it.. just wondering peoples thoughts on whether its a good ride or not? ๐Ÿ˜•

yeh, id heard theres a few parts that could get rather wet and boggy.. gonna try and do it when theres been no rain for a week or so, might be a while away though!

I did it after a 3 week heatwave. There was light drizzle on the day of the ride. The first proper off road section is a riverbed, water was only 3-4 inches deep. A boggy climb followed. There are puddles on the landy track that are well over BB and hub depth. Some of the river crossing are only knee deep, others ba' deep and waist deep if you aren't careful. It is by far the wettest route I have ever ridden and I'm from the west of Scotland.

We rode it Sept '10 after a long, dry period. Loved the route... my notes on the day were "about 4hrs riding time, lots of chatting time. Lovely day, would be wet after rain"

Its been dry up here for the past 3-4 weeks, so now would have been a good time to ride it..
