Stupid question, really stupid probably, but do those who use layback seatposts use them to make a frame that's a little bit too small fit?
But do they screw up the climbing handling?
I may be being way slow and the penny just dropping.
At 6' but with long legs and arms, but a short body I find i'm always between sizes, medium and large. Haven't ever considered a layback post before as always thought they may adversely affect handling.
Please set me straight.
I use layback posts on all my bikes...short legs, long body I guess. If I went up a size on my frames, standover would be an issue and doubt they'd be enough seatpost exposure for a dropper post. Never felt like it compromised climbing but then I'd rather stick a layback post on than a longer stem
