[Closed] lay back or inline seat post?

Well i have the choice of both, with my hard tail being a medium frame i have the seat post at the max being 400mm i think the extra few inches would open it up a bit. I guess i will suffer from the uphill sections with quite a long fork altho i have a 100mm stem from 60ish.
or do i go for an in-line not as far back but better all round.
help???? where should the seat be?? on the bike at the mo i would say the seat is exactly in the middle of the rear wheel and the BB.
