Just making the most of the conditions while I can. In the Chilterns the trails are still dusty and very hard, so going out all the time until it changes. Lovely woodland singletrack as much as possible.

Almost no road riding until it changes, as it seems a shame to waste the conditions.

It aint over just yet! The moors were bone dry last night. The trails are in better nick than they have been over most of the previous so-called 'summers'

Last night was also a benchmark in that we had to bang lights on right from the off, for the first time

My local loops are currently drier than they were in June/July.

Not sure but I've got a whole Sunday free this weekend and I'm going to make the most of it. Where to go though? I could just do a massive ride from my doorstep with pub stops etc. No wasted time driving places that way...

I did my first road double century* at the weekend and won't be riding the next few so if that's my last big run out then I'll be happy with that.

*Only metric but I'm taking it.

Wasn't it the last day yesterday?

What day is the weather changing so I can't put it in my diary?

Already started riding trials, which is so addictive I won't bother with the MTB until the first bogging rain day then it's:

"First ride of Winter".

We'll its raining hard now in Bolton.

The Trails have been ace over the past few Days. I've only done a few 8 mile loops as I've been busy but I've used the time to get some cheeky trails in that are muddied upto the axles in Winter.

Let's see what effect this Rain makes in the Morning.
