Hi, if you are an owner of a Lapierre Zesty or Spicy you may be aware of a recall issued by Lapierre originally in June 2022 due to a potential issue with cracked frames. The advice given was not to ride the bike and a new frame would be provided.
I went into the shop where I got mine from and they confirmed it was part of the recall and registered my claim.
more than a year later, still no sign of a frame. When I contacted Lapierre they repeated I should not ride it but that frames were being ‘drip fed’ as they were available but couldn’t give any time frame.
The shop I went into said they were waiting for 5 or 6 for customers but Lapierre UK were blaming Lapierre France ….
Does anyone know if anyone that has actually received a replacement, or should I just give up waiting and go back to riding the bike??? ( there is no sign of any cracking anywhere on it)
They are renowned for having chainstays made of peanut brittle.
If I'd waited this long I'd give it another month
