Anyone got one?

I had, until some thieving scumbag borrowed it out of the shed last night, a Zesty 314 and loved it. Now the insurance company are suggesting that the X-Control is a suitable replacement.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of one??

Cheers

Craig

Not really the same kind of bike. The Zesty is 140mm and the X-Control a 10mm XC thing.

You dont need to take the bike offered. If they are using a bike shop to provide you with the replacement ask for a list of what they have. Or just tell them you want the cash settlement and then go shopping.

Not comparable in my mind. 100mm rear, 120mm front vs 140mm rear, 140mm front, which is now 150/150 on the new Zesty.

Get the Zesty AM 327 or Zesty TR 329, depending on which size wheels you like / think will be around in a few years.

Plus the suspension design on the X-Control has never recieved good review, whereas the Zesty has.

I've tried both, and the Zesty is far plusher.

In conceptual terms the Zesty is an AM / Trail bike - the X-Control is a XC bike / race bike.

my mate bought one early this summer, hated it from the very 1st ride. He also had problems with the silly B/B pivot thing making noises and pivots shearing!
He quickly sold it on...

Surely they need to offer like for like.

And a zesty is pretty much like a....... Zesty?

Also get a pic up on here of your bike mate. You never know. The4e was a post a pic of your stolen bike thread a few days back...

And... If you need a borrow for a ride mate. Give us a bell. The Helius is a bit redundant at the mo.
