[#1890124]

Just ordered myself a spicy, and want to stick a two ring guide on it?

Anyone fitted an e13 DRS/Heim to a Spicy? Any problems/dremeling?

Is it ISCG05 I need? Lapierre site doesn't even mention the frame having mounts.

My mate fitted an E-13 guide, not sure what one though, contact Neil at free flow bikes he has done loads. I could have done you a great deal on a new spicy at the moment. Anyway enjoy it because they are one of the best bikes available at the moment.

Great bikes aren't they? I put a bash ring on mine as soon as I got it, and want to put a guide on there before I head out to the Alps next - the chain is no use when its wrapped around the BB! This has been discussed at length in a few threads on the Lapierre owners forum, which is well worth a look: http://www.lapierreownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=321
The Spicy does indeed have ISCG 05 tabs.
I'd be interested to know what you end up with and how it works out - maybe you could contribute to the thread I've linked to?
Hope that helps!

Blackspire stinger and bash of your choice. Easy to fit and works just as well, if not better than the Ethirteen DRS and costs half the price.

Thanks glyn - as for the deal, my local shop, who have been looking after me for years with the small things, have just become a Lapierre dealer - so I've been able to actually buy a bike form them for once - got a great deal, and it almost feels like giving something back to the shop.

rtb - I ordered the e13 DRS 2010, it should; arrive today, and the Spicy should be ready Friday (should have been ready last Friday - much as I like the local shop, they're not always perfect...). Will stick something on your thread once I get it put together.

Cheers - hope it all goes together (and works) as expected! Just arranged a week away in September, so I could do with sorting one out soon...

Too late for the OP, but like AndyA I'm also running a Blackspire Stinger ISCG05 on my Spicy (in my case with a RF bash on Saints). Great chain devices and cheap too. Prefer it over the DRS I ran on my previous full-susser.

Also a bit late, but I recently had an e13 Heim2 fitted to my Spicy. I got it without a bash as I already had (a Straitline) one on the bike. The Heim2 is light (62g without bash) and does the job perfectly. Rides are a lot sweeter without all that fumbling around the bottom bracket.

Still waiting - have the bike (delighted with it) but Chain Reaction sent me an old DRS instead of the 2010 model I ordered (not the first time they've sent me old stock when I've ordered new) so that's gone back.

So CRC have sent me another DRS - it's a 2010 this time, but it's an E-type mount, which I didn't order.

The Spicy does have an e-Type Mech, but it mounts to the swingarm, not the front triangle - so if I fitted the e-type DRS, I'd basically be bolting the swingarm to the front triangle, preventing it from moving properly, right?

Think I'll be sending this back, and doing my shopping elsewhere from now on.
