Yeah was horrible. Amazing riding by Lance too to avoid hitting him.
However i cant help thinking if he had a bit more pie weight he might not have shattered as he hit the floor like a porcelain teacup !

At that point in time I was nursing a commutated fracture of the humerus, too high up to cast so only in a poly-sling. Munching codine based painkillers so Beloki lying in the road squealing like a pig had a real resonance. Man, I hated the way they kept showing repeats of it too.

They reshowed it on ITV4 yesterday, man, the screams made me throw up.

Beloki smashed his hip and leg, maybe more. Showed the ditch that Armstrong jumped over at the bottom of the field on ITV4, was pretty large, dont like the guy but that was pretty impressive riding.
Can I ask is it the one where armstrong cuts the corner of a field? As I just looked on youtube and it does't look that bad.
Tails thats the one, interesting piece on the ITV4 highlights tonight, showed the field and ditch. I think the have an i-player type thing or probably be repeated over night
i didnt think beloki fell that bad watching the repeats, but i suppose at the those speeds its not gonna be a soft landing !

In fact, reminds me off about 2 months ago when out on one of our training runs, in the leading group of about 20 riders when 2 in front of me tangled up, bringing me and those 2 down. After an eerie silence, screams from one of the riders whose femur was sticking out of his leg, has been plated and bolted, luckily his hip wasn't smashed but the screams coming from the man were sickening 😥
jacko he "highsided" and landed really hard, remember seeing it live and it was quite shocking. He ws screaming and team-mates stopped and were trying to comfort him 😥

yea i can imagine, when a grown man is screaming you can tell something is fu**ed up somewhere! i broke my arm 3 weeks ago and it didnt hurt as much as i thaught it would, so for him to scream is horrible ! was that the end of his carrer ?
