last night in ambleside tomorrow so thinking of this as a short blast. Is the decent along the ridge any good? Thinking about doing this tomorrow evening, either riding up to the kirkstone pass and hiking or up past Swedish bridge.

Any other options from Ambleside for getting high with about 2 hours to spare.

What's the hike from kirkstone pass like? Might be able to get dropped up there.

change of plan, got dropped at hawkshead, did Iron Keld, back through chapel stile, elterwater and over loughrigg terrace into ambleside.

you've got some proper grumpy walkers round here...

Grumpy walkers are like the grumpy bikers - on holidays. Cumbrians are without exception pleasant, charming and polite.
Now p15s off home.

I wasn't even riding cheeky. I was looking at my map to work out where I was next to a footpath sign and she had a right pop at me.

Back to dartmoor tomorrow morning

Surprised we didn't see you today Jambo given your route! All the walkers we saw were mighty nice, but then we missed out Loughrigg ... 8)

P.s. Just watched the UKGE vid & thought exactly that... Using all yours & Sharki's tracks of old!

Back to the West Country it is...
