planning a group stay in the lakes and need ideas for a good Bunkhouse / self catering type accomadation for approx 15/20 persons. for a week .

Central to 6 of the best rides available

Any ideas welcome . 😀

Coniston YHA, Holy How, http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/the-lake-district/hostels/Coniston-Holly-How/index.aspx licensed as well, great breakfasts and they'll do you a packed lunch for the day. well recommended.

It's not amazingly central, but I can wholly recommend [url= http://www.theship1691.co.uk/index.htm ]The Ship Inn[/url] in Kirkby in Furness. Still only 15-20mins drive from Coniston.

Stayed there loads of times. Really good... and it looks like one of those woodland campsites from an 80s slasher movie.

Another vote for Vivid in Keswick, well placed for Borrowdale, Whinlatter, Skiddaw etc. Cheap, cheerful and helpful. They had a big group of coast to coast folk in when we were there so they must be fairly well setup for groups of sweaty bikists. Think one of the guys there is a qualified guide too.
