Quite fancy a bash at the 44 miles but the 66 miles may be out of reach for me,well for this year anyway,is anyone up for it this year,has anyone done it before,spill the beans !!!
Not done the Monster Miles (will probably be working at it!) but rode as a backmark for the Rhinog Raptor event a few weeks back. Great fun, really nice course, some hard climbs and some fun-if-twitchy-on-a-cross-bike descents. I'd have been better off on my MTB simply because I lacked the legs for my CX bike gearing on those climbs, but it's definitely more of a cross thing than MTB. The most techy bits in Wales were the Coed y Brenin blue-grade trail.
3 mates are doing it this year, looks great, but can't justify the time away and cost to make a proper weekend of it.
