I have a morning pass and a new cross bike to get muddy.
Can anyone recommend a route from Kendal or Stavely or there abouts.

Kendal>Longsleddale>Sadgill>Turn right at bottom of Sadgill, Pick up lanes back to Kentmere Village> Kentmere Hall> Over to Ings> Wilfs for brew> 90% rideable on cross i should think> Sorted

And my god are you going to get wet !!

he means turn LEFT at Sadgill and go over to Stile End. I'd go down to Sawmill Cottage rather than Ings on the way to Staveley.

No i mean RIGHT towards Hallow Bank, then left down the steep gated tarmac road after a few hundred yards, then left onto a bridleway (Low Lane), just cuts out a bit of road and is a quite nice stretch of track

wrong valley ๐Ÿ™‚
Sadgill is at the foot of Gatescarth, at the top end of Longsleddale. You have to turn left there onto the BW to Stile End, which is where you turn R for 100m and then left to pick up the track to meet Low Lane ๐Ÿ™‚
