Went up to Innerleithen last year and stayed in cleikum lodge (spelling?!)
It was the perfect set up for a bunch of people staying and riding from. Hoping to get up to the lakes this September but struggling to find good accommodation. Anyone know of much in the way of places with bike storage/cleaning , accepting of a bunch of blokes (10 ish)
So far I’ve only found small air B and B types or camping. Not against camping but want all the options!

When we went up last Autumn (between lock downs) we stayed in the Dinah Hoggus camping barn in Rosthwaite, Borrowdale. Location was perfect for some of the great Lakeland rides. The barn was very basic, little more than camping in a stone structure. But it had a loo and a shower and a fully fitted kitchen. There were about 10 bunks and a few more mattresses for the floor. We kept the bikes locked in the kitchen at night. The lady who runs the place was a bit eccentric but very pleasant. It worked out pretty cheap, though we had to pay for a lot of electric for the heating as it was freezing when we were there and the place has no insulation at all and just uses 2KW heaters to provide any heat. Some of the other barns/bunkhouses may be a bit more salubrious. But this one served us well and the pub and riding are on the doorstep.

Try derwen****er independent hostel. Not exactly cycle centric but should be able to all sleep in the same place slap bang at the start of the bash.
