Does anyone know of a good way to get a map of the lake district on one page? Using the OS Maps custom map maker on the Landranger scale almost works, but doesn't quite fit in the full area I need.

Edit: Nevermind, didn't see that it was double sided.

Get the BMC edition Harvey map, fits all the main central bit on, 1:40k, waterproof, tough, folds down small. What's not to like!

Basically the main central bit as honeybadgerx mentions, ideally getting in Was****er and Haweswater East to West and back of Skiddaw down to the A590. It's more for planning and maybe eventually some wall art than taking out riding. I'll check out BMC.

Have a play with the Aqua3 custom map maker. There's format options for extended portrait or landscape, and they get printed on plastic sheet and seem bombproof.

I reckon you can get pretty much the whole area in at 1:50k

Live and work in Grasmere and this is the map we sell loads of as it 1:25000 covers the central bits of the lakes. Its OS mapping and it it is double sided but its a very useful map

The Blackwells bookshop in Newcastle can do custom printing, IIRC, up to A0.

Some friends got the local area 1:50 (landranger) printed at 1:60 to squeeze a bit more in.
