Hey there,
I need to replace my helmet and was wondering if there were any that the ladies of STW (or the men on behalf of their other halves) would recommend?
I would buy the same one as I had to retire but unfortunately it's been discontinued so I was just wondering peoples thoughts on which helmet's best.
I'm looking for an open face mtb helmet 🙂

I have a head the size of a pea! I bought a new Giro Hex the other day, I had originally bought a Bell helmet but the small was too big for me. Giro do a womens specific helmet, the Skyla one but I can't tell you what makes it womens specific - the silly colours perhaps? Anyhow, the Hex is really comfy, adjustable and I can pull my ponytail through the gap.
Mrs 83 borrows my Hex when we go out. The weird adjuster thing at the back is really good for getting it comfortable without spending over 9000 hours fiddling with the straps.
The Giro Skyla is smaller sized than the gents, it's adjustable from 50-57cm whereas a gents is 54-61 cm.
Aaah awesome, It was the Skyla I had (and i agree about the silly colours) the colour i had (which was relatively normal) is discontinued and i don't fancy floral so much :/

The Skyla is good but I use the Giro Phase, not ladies specific, but easily adjustable and fits me well 🙂
Thanks for all of your advice! I tried a few on and I went for the Hex - Really nice fit and feels like you're getting lots of protection (which is what i like after concussing myself - hence the retired helmet).
